we're following a developing story out of florida. two mon rails at walt disney world in orlando collided around 2:00 a.m. we are told the operator of one of the tain -- trains was killed. no guests were reported to be injured. so far no word on what happened. the monorail has been closed until further notice. steve mcnair and a 20-year- old woman were found dead inside a condo mcnair rented in nashville. the former mvp had been shot multiple times. the woman -- the woman was found shot wounded in the head. the police are not pursuing

suspects. and marion barry arrested in anacostia park last night. an officer was flagged down by a woman in one of claimed to b the driver of the other car. >> the person in that car, marion barry, was placed under arrest. he was tran ported to the united states park police district 5 substation. at that station, u.s. park police interviewed mr. barry and after consultation with the united states attorney's office, a misdemeanor charge of stalking was placed on mr. barry. >> he was released early this morning and will have to face the charges in d.c. superior court. >> gary, let's talk about good news. >> i'm sleepy enough i might regret something. let's move on. how about weather? >> good. >> yesterday was good. we know that. got that pressure off of me. now let's move on into sunday. look on the bright side, it

won't be hot today. the temperatures will be proaching 80 degrees for a high. 80 might be a stretch. it's cloudy out there now. we'll look at max hd radar and show you right now there is light rain. at least that's what we're tracking. but some of this is probably not touching the ground. in waldorf, rain sneaking up on you and la plata, probably very light there and dale city the same. and down i-95 it does get heavier. back over to max hd true view, the bigger picture. farther down to the south it looks like this is where the heaviest rain will be tracking. we'll get light showers from d.c. down to the south. just so you know, d.c. to the north, up into northern sections of maryland and southern parts of pennsylvania, we should stay primarily dry all day long. 69 for the city now. la plata at 70 degrees. frederick right now is 64. winchester is 64. temperatures will start warming up for us over the next few

hours. and again we'll be approaching 80 degrees for a high temperature. disturbance -- most of the rain tracks to the south of us. heff rest of the rain picks up -- heff rest of the rn picks up in virginia and down into north carolina. so south along i-95, you'll hit the rain. up the i-95 corridor, you'll stay dry all day long. so dry travels that direction. and again rain down to the south. and of course a lot of traveling up and down i-95 today. sunday morning, this is max hd future cast, here we are an hour from now. and notice max hd does pick up the rain heaviest to the south of us and that is the trend for the day. we could end up staying completely dry here in d.c. today. all of the rain just for our southern suburb and then farther down into southern virginia. by tomorrow morning, high pressure builds in and we start clearing out. we'll start partly cloudy tomorrow morning and then through the day tomorrow, just

in time to go back to work, it looks real nice and that will be the trend on tuesday as well. there will be a frontalsystem tuesday. so there could be an isolated shower or thunderstorm. future cast is not showing it at this point but it probably will happen as we get closer to tuesday. here is the forecast for the day. notice i just put some light showers in through the day today. not a big deal at all. high temperature close to 80 degrees. we'll have a hard time pushing 80 here in the city, but north of town we can easily get there. today a shower will linger -- or tonight a shower my linger in places but it looks fairly dry. the rest of the week looks good. a couple of isolates storms on tuesday and wednesday. but otherwise it looks good. >> i'm sorry. that was mean coughing in the middle of your forecast. >> a trained professional, i didn't hear it. >> just a few storms. >> not real hot or muggy too.

[ singing ] tiger's tournament rolls out all of the stops for the troops on the 4th of july. now the attention turns to the showdown. anthony kim and tiger woods sit at the top of the leaderboard and they are teeing off together later today. tiger had an up and down third round but made some key shots like this eagle on 13. he ended up shooting parr. both han thane and -- both anthony and woods are 3 under. >> how is it on your own tournament on the 4th of july? >> it's great. we try to honor the servicemen and women to give them thanks for what they do for us. they put their lives on the line each and every day, and a

lot of the guys that are amputees are out here. ieds are going off and they still made their way out here to support. and i could hear people in the galley thanking the servicemen and women out there thanking them today. and that makes it special. >> now woods and kim will go head to head when they tee off at 2:20 p.m. another player is one shot back and two players are two shots back. so this is far than decided. down to last bite in new york and we are talking about the annual nathan's hot dog eating contest. defending championp joe chestnut took on kobe arby. this year's race was close, but chestnut did win in dramatic fashion, setting a world world by downing 68 hot dogs. that just looks gross.

he did not look good. chestnut celebrated with lighter fair. a cob salad with ranch dressing. how you could eat after that, i don't know. you need lighter fair? who would need anything for five days. >> let's not go there. >> visitors are going inside the statue of liberty's grounds for the first time in eight years. >> and one couple in particular made the most of it. the surprise proposal and did sa? e es y you're going to want to stick around.

this 4th of july weekend many people are doing something they haven't done in eight years. for the first time since the 9/11 attack. visitors are being allowed into the statue of liberty crown. >> many got a spectacular view yesterday. more than 350 steps to the top. one man from california took full advantage of the grand reopening. he pulled out a ring, got down on one knee and popped the question to his girlfriend. and as you can see from all of the smiles and hugs, she said yes. they're so happy they're going to have the picture with the cool crown. >> i would hate
